After arranging an isolated accident, you can proceed to gang up on the last remaining guard. It would be a shame if something were to happen to it. Strategy: The two central Guards are conveniently standing below a chandelier. To the North West, you'll come upon a locked door, so head East to the Guard Room. Before moving on, take a moment to look over the Character Sheets for Naurim and Zurbaran. The Prison of Neetha is a Dungeon that has a very simple layout. Releasing him from the cell, he joins your motley crew. He introduces himself as Zurbaran of House Florios, and Al-Anfan mage from the far South, here in spite of the war between Al-Anfa and the Horasian Empire. Just as the conversation devolves into awkwardness, another prisoner speaks up in a mellifluous voice. While he's clearly insane, he just got you out of jail, so might as well run with it. Don't actually try to hit someone with a Torch in real life, though, Torches are brittle and make for dreadful weapons, trust me.Īfter the beat down, you have a nice chat with the Dwarf, who introduces himself as Naurim, a Dwarf from the Anvil Mountains come to the Wild South to continue the eternal fight against a dragon known as the Golden One. Let him come to you to deny him his first strike, then wail on him with the Torches. Strategy: The Guard is a weak enemy, with 20HP on normal. The stocky Angrosho comes fully ready for this fight, with levels in Axes and Maces as well as the Special Ability Power Blow. This battle is simple, even if you didn't invest in Axes and Maces (the Weapon Talent for the Torch), since the Dwarf has your back. Main Quest: The Prison of NeethaYou are released from your cell by a Dwarf and, unarmed and unarmored save for a pair of Torches and some Leather Chausses, you are accosted by a Guard. They accuse you of murder and, from this point on, you are known as the Cutthroat of Neetha, guilty of the slaying of Princess Elanor ay Kalamal. Two men, Lysander and Muratori, torture you in a vain attempt to extract a Name from you, but to no avail. One day after Elanor's death, you are being held in the Prison of Neetha. If you took any Special Abilities, drag them onto the Action Bar for convenience you're going to use them a lot.Īfter the Wolf is dead, a group of Guards come upon your character, and the screen fades to black. The Wolf is not a difficult enemy, with your basic equipment and abilities you should be able to easily dispatch it in a couple of blows. Strategy: This is the Tutorial mission, so it's a good moment to familiarize yourself with the Controls for the game. A woman lies at your feet, dead, and a snarling Wolf looms over her. Poisonous traps. After a dark and menacing cutscene, you'll be thrust right into the action. Healing potions are a waste of belt slots, there must be poisons in there. Shame you can't poison your poisons, 'cause if that were the case, i would recommend doing that too. If your weapons are already poisoned, poison them some more. You are playing a game called "blackguards", why would you even consider fighting fair. Laugh manicly as wyverns completely devastate themselves on the Thousand Bites, trying to figure out how to get to you.Īlso, there's nothing stopping you from having an Assassin and a Battlemage at this point, instead of boring mercenary troops.Īlso also, poison your weapons. Once the core of you party is on the bridge(Takate is obviously laying down traps somewhere), block the entrance to the bridge with a 1-segment Arcane Wall and keep it up throughout the battle. Cover your escape(whichever way you intend to escape through, but i'd advise bottom one) with Liana Curse. Level Traps on, say, Takate, take 1-2 Thousand Bites and 1 Liana Curse, lay the Bites in the bottom passage and on the opposite exit from the middle passage. No new wyverns will arrive once the crystals are destroyed, hence - postpone using the trap in the upper passage until after. Takate spear can also destroy it since I remember destrying top one with an Elven spear (which was surprising since stab(piercing) damage wasn't really suppose to hit it but ehhhh. The crystal has about 10 hp so just use powerblow on it with a sword or mace. The top path MUST be destroyed by Takate because it will fall on the right cell as well so you need to use a spear to be safe from the debris. Destroy the bridge to kill the wyvern if necessary when you're on the lizard side if you have no choice Be careful with the bottom path because the wyvern CAN completely block it. Just focus on breaking all the crystal then rush back. Level 3 "Move as lightning" helps a lot but you can clear it without (I did it on normal without it) Make sure you place your char apart so that they can never be paralyzed at the same time. Zurbu goes from the mid along with a mercenery. Naurim and Farumudwhathisname from the bot.
